Camels have a unique way of walking known as "pacing," where both legs on the same side of the body move forward simultaneously. This gait, in which the front and hind legs on one side move together followed by the front and hind legs on the other side, allows camels to maintain stability on the uneven, sandy terrain of deserts. This distinctive movement is different from the more common "trotting" gait seen in many other quadrupeds, where diagonal legs move together.
