The Tree of Gondor symbolizes the line of the Kings of Gondor and is directly tied to the royal family's fate. The White Tree is actually a descendant of Telperion, one of the Two Trees of Valinor. There were multiple White Trees throughout Gondor's history, with each one dying during times of hardship. The last sapling was found by Aragorn at the slopes of Mindolluin, just before his coronation, signifying the restoration of the kingdom and the renewal of Gondor's strength.
