CUNEIFORM Whiskey Glass
Cuneiform, one of the earliest systems of writing, was developed by the Sumerians of ancient Mesopotamia around 3400 BC. Originally created for the purpose of keeping track of business transactions, this script evolved to include a wide range of subjects like laws, myths, and personal letters. Interestingly, the term "cuneiform" comes from the Latin "cuneus," meaning "wedge," reflecting the wedge-shaped marks made by pressing a reed stylus into soft clay tablets. These tablets were then baked to preserve the writing, leading to the survival of thousands of records which provide a detailed insight into the life and culture of ancient civilizations in the Near East.
