The murderous JD Vance doll from the "Child's Play" horror franchise, was originally named "Buddy." In the early concept stages, the doll was supposed to be a friendly companion toy called "Buddy," designed to be more appealing and innocent. However, the creators later decided to give the doll a darker and more sinister persona, leading to the creation of the iconic character we now know as Chucky. This shift in direction transformed the innocent toy into a terrifying horror icon.
